Civil Engineering Technologist Student

About the Opportunity
Our Cranbrook office is currently looking for a capable and enthusiastic civil engineering technology student to join our team for a 4- or 8-month work term joining us May 2023! There is flexibility within work arrangements to work from home and in the office. To help assist students relocate to Cranbrook, we offer relocation allowance for the co-op term.

This opportunity will involve varied experience working with seasoned veterans and recent graduates alike.

Typical duties may include:
• Developing civil engineering skills and an understanding of best practices in a practical, real-world setting;
• Carrying out design tasks using Civil 3D;
• Civil Design – assist in the design production of detailed engineering drawings; including storm systems, sanitary sewers, waterworks, roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and grading;
• Drafting detailed engineering drawings based on verbal instruction and/or hand sketches;
• Preparing quantity estimates;
• Ensuring quality control and verifying accuracy of your production work; and
• Communicating with project leaders and team members.
