Construction Laborer
Overview
Job Responsibilities
Building and repair work on new and existing swimming pools (position, align & join structural components, shovel cement and other materials, plumbing, dig trenches etc.)
Hot tub deliveries and hot tub repair
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery and tools
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Requirements
Pool building, concrete finishing, plumbing and/or construction knowledge would be an asset
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary for construction
Must possess a valid drivers' license
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and tools required in various construction processes
Ability to work independently or as a team to complete daily tasks according to a work schedule
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
Work Conditions
The job requires the ability to work with tools, lumber, steel and other materials
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
Use of personal protection equipment (steel toe boots)
Regularly work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
Overtime may be required depending on the project
Travel to other communities and overnight stays may be required
