Qualifications
The Marketing Summer Student will provide administrative and creative support to the Marketing & Community Relations team. This role is responsible for supporting team campaigns and initiatives.
A day in the life as a Marketing Summer Student:
Provide Marketing Support to the Marketing Team.
Research, interview and write web content, and develop pages on website.
Coordinate various marketing and promotional materials.
Capture video and photos for WCU digital properties when needed.
Support internal and external communications.
Support campaign planning and execution.
Help plan and support community/special events and tradeshows.
Support the development and execution of social media plans (creating, monitoring, engaging, evaluation)
What you bring to the table:
Currently enrolled in a Communications or Marketing program, may include Creative Communications – with Marketing specialization.
Very strong English writing skills are necessary for this role.
Experience with WordPress is considered an asset.
Experience in writing for media is considered an asset.
Excellent time management skills are considered an asset.
A forward-thinker with a can-do attitude who can adapt to any situation.
A high-energy individual who likes variety and who can get things done.
