Gardener Crew Lead
Overview
The Gardener Crew Lead is responsible for coordinating the team, including for applying policies and procedures, evaluating the quality of work, organizing crew tasks, maintaining work standards, resolving issues between team members, and mentoring with the help of our Head Gardener. The Gardener Crew lead will perform the work of the Gardener team which includes regular maintenance of flower beds, as well as softscaping new or existing beds to improve the overall curb appeal. You will be responsible to organize supplies, load vehicles, and set up worksites for the day's planned activities with the required tools, equipment and materials. You will also be responsible to have effective communication on work progress, issues, requirements and identifies opportunities to the Head Gardener.
Qualifications
Requirements:
-Ability to coach and motivate team members
-Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
-Ability to perform physically demanding work
-Ability to understand and follow instructions
-Ability to use hand power tools and equipment
-Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
-Drivers License is required
-Working knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, landscaping and garden maintenance
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Strong attention to detail
-Horticulture knowledge and experience is an asset
