Junior GIS Analyst

Overview

Clifton is currently searching for a Junior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to join our team in any of our locations. As a Junior GIS Analyst, you will play a vital role in assisting our multi-disciplinary teams on a wide variety of projects, corporately. Reporting to the Senior GIS Specialist, you will assist with spatial analysis, data visualization, and mapping. Join our team to become part of the Clifton Difference.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of geospatial data using GIS software and tools.
• Create and maintain accurate and visually appealing maps, charts, and reports.
• Support the team in geodatabase management, data editing, and data quality control.
• Participate in spatial data modeling and analysis for various projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data into larger workflows.
• Conduct research to gather relevant geographic data from various sources.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in GIS and geospatial analysis.
• Provide support in preparing and presenting GIS findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adhere to Clifton’s Quality Management System.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a Diploma in a related field from
a recognized technical institute.
• Basic understanding of spatial analysis techniques and geospatial data concepts.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, train, and mentor others.
• Proficiency with ESRI, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Experience with coding (Python, Arcade, or VBS)
would be an asset.
• Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a
demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, in the context of work/life balance.
• Knowledge of remote sensing, cartography, or web mapping technologies is desirable.
• A passion for geospatial technology and a desire to continually learn and grow in the field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Continued attention to safety and safe work environments, with a strong workplace safety orientation.
