Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate (2301902)

Contract Duration: 4 – 6 months (Summer)   

Location: Headingley, MB

Wage: $22.00hr – $29.00hr

Formula for Success: As a Summer Associate, you will join our Agronomic Excellence team where you will be involved in…

Conducting field trails with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology and agronomic practices with the goal of developing regional, hybrid specific agronomic practices.

Assisting with field trail activities from seeding to harvest including seed set up, land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as required.

Regular travel in your local region for field scouting and crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of field and research plot, data collection and analysis.     
Qualifications

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing your degree in Agriculture, or another college along with experience in the Agriculture Industry    
Familiarity and practical experience with agriculture equipment is an asset. 
Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals.  
Previous experience in agriculture field research is an asset.
Attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills.
Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results.
Driver´s license.
