Based in Winnipeg and reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the ideal candidate will possess an exceptional customer service orientation and be a well-organized, resourceful self-starter who can work autonomously and as part of a team.

What will you do?

Communications and Marketing
-Contribute to developing an annual communications calendar, monitor deadlines, and ensure all projects are on track.
-Coordinate production of AMC’s newsletters and magazines, including planning and writing content as needed.
-Social media relations, including content creation, posting, and interacting with members and followers.
-Monitor media for articles of interest to members.
-Assist with ensuring website content is current and relevant.
-Assist with all marketing and communication initiatives, including strategy, branding, public relations, events, social and digital media, relationship marketing, and direct marketing.
-Design first-rate, comprehensive communication materials from email content, impact stories, podcasts, and much more and contribute to the execution accordingly.
-Assist in ensuring a consistent brand look, feel, and voice across all channels.

Membership Engagement
-Foster strong member relationships to provide exceptional customer service to obtain and retain members through responding to member inquiries and assisting members with event registrations, website logins and other questions or concerns.
-Member Database management includes entering and maintaining data and running reports.
-Staff events, including assisting with attendee registration and member relations throughout the event.
-Provide general assistance for event planning and production as needed.
-Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

What do you need to succeed?

• Post-secondary education with a specialization in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role. Marketing agency experience is a definite asset.
• Possess a reputation for your proactive manner, curiosity, and team contributions.
• Have a positive attitude and gratitude around serving members and key stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate active listening and strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all written communications, reports, and activity tracking.
• Maintains superior organization, multi-tasking, and follow-through skills while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Competence with all social media channels, including Mailchimp, Hootsuite, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, or InDesign expertise, and the capacity to pick up new technology quickly.
• A high level of enthusiasm for members and organizational development.
• A passion for storytelling and tailoring communications to unique stakeholder groups.
• Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset.
• Experience in the Canadian agriculture and/or manufacturing industry is an asset.
• Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
