Certified Health Care Aide
Overview
If you strive to make a difference in people’s everyday lives by caring for them with compassion, dignity and respect, CBI Health has great opportunities for Health Care Aide (HCA). You will provide quality, patient-centred care to our clients.
As a Health Care Aide within our CBI Home Health team, you will call upon your nurturing and assisting skills to provide overall care to clients. In this position you will assist clients with personal care, lifts and transfers, toileting, bathing, and feeding. You will also provide light housekeeping support, prepare meals, and be a companion.
We offer flexibility with your schedule- we have casual, part time and full time hours to offer!
Qualifications
• Your Health Care Aide Certificate
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 3 months
• A Clear Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks within the last 3 months
• Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and an up-to-date immunization record
• Ability to travel from home to home within the community
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with ability to communicate in other languages an asset
• Reliability and strong organization skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg)
