Logistics/Dispatch Coordinator

Overview

Establishing our company in 2013, we started with one truck and now have twelve and went from two employees to twenty-four. We believe in establishing long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers and repeat business is the result.
We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Logistics/Dispatch Coordinator at our Grande Pointe location to complement our team of hard-working, dedicated people. Added bonus: two friendly dogs roaming the office like they own the place.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and dispatch pick-up and delivery of freight.
• Organization of timetables and travel.
• Transmission of guidelines to drivers ie instructions, documents, etc.
• Communicate with customers, retailers, suppliers to achieve maximum profitability and mutual satisfaction.
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
• Create Bills of Lading and verify all merchandise.
• Collect and analyze service issues and carrier quality information.
• Maintain and update logs and records of related information using Dispatch Mate.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as logistics/dispatch coordinator in a similar industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with an ability to respond to urgent matters quickly and work independently.
• Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Dispatch Mate.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
