Programs & Community Coordinator

Overview

Brandon Riverbank Inc. is seeking a Programs & Community Coordinator with exceptional organizational abilities, a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service, and prior experience working with children's programs.

Position Purpose: To deliver and/or coordinate programming services offered at the Riverbank Discovery Centre. Programs typically include nature-based interpretive programming, Indigenous programs, the hosting of special events, tourism-related services, Canada Day, and/or other large-scale celebrations.

Position Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience in program development, promotion and delivery.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible attitude.
• Experience working with children’s programs.
• Ability to partner with community stakeholders for the delivery of programs.
• Able to identify needs and opportunities, solve problems, and promote teamwork.
• Demonstrated organizational, time management, and business case development skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively balance the demands of multiple responsibilities, priorities, and personalities.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel and use a personal vehicle for work purposes.
• Able to work varied hours and Holidays.
• Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment, the Internet, and web-based applications.
• Local, regional, and provincial tourism knowledge.

Qualifications

Combination of education and experience in hospitality, tourism, recreation management, program development, and/or event management. Post-secondary education preferred. Must complete a Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check and first aid training.

Start Date: as soon as possible

Position Details: full-time permanent, 37.5 hours per week, some evening and weekend work required
