Overview

Location: This position is ideally located in Headingley, MB, Portage la Prairie, MB, or Brandon, MB, however other locations will also be considered. There may be an opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement.

Reporting to the Budget & Reporting Manager, the Financial Analyst – Budgeting & Reporting will be responsible for the preparation of corporate financial statements, budgets, and reporting to stakeholders both statistical and financial information. They will ensure that complete and accurate financial records are maintained.
The Financial Analyst – Budgeting & Reporting will also be responsible for preparing and analysing financial information to be used by both internal and external users such as corporate managers, Executive Management Committee (EMC), Board of Directors, and various levels of government.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post-secondary education in Finance or Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may be considered.
• Experience in accounting and financial reporting within a medium-sized organization.
• Experience completing detailed financial analysis.
• Experience with advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience interpreting and applying complex policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
• Ability to gather data and prepare reports to assist with management decision making.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and accurately input, manipulate, and verify large amounts of data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or working towards, is an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or a comparable software, is an asset.
• Knowledge of Agriculture, is an asset.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and principles, is an asset.
• Bilingual, is an asset.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Must possess a valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
