Manager, Ticket Sales

Overview

True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dynamic leader to join our team.

The Manager, Ticket Sales will be responsible for implementing plans to secure ticket revenue for True North (including Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose and Canada Life Centre) with specific focus on the growth of Winnipeg Jets season ticket memberships. This leadership position is expected to be highly engaged in growing season ticket memberships within the local community.

What to be excited for in this role:

• Generate new business revenue by proactively planning for, and delivering, the sale of new ticket packages including full, half, and quarter season memberships.
• Leadership of the day-to-day activities of the Ticket Sales Team, including providing direction for sales efforts, goal setting and motivation.
• Enhance the execution of the annual sales plan aimed at selling Winnipeg Jets season ticket memberships, surpassing revenue targets, and cultivating additional revenue streams through customer-centric strategies such as upgrades, supplementary ticket sales, customized packages, and enhanced experiential offerings.
• Manage the execution of campaigns throughout the year and utilize data to monitor and deliver results, while maintaining compelling scoreboards to monitor results and adjust, where necessary.
• Streamline coordination of essential event services for customers, encompassing ticket reservations, confirmations, and relocations, while also delivering technical support and exemplary customer service during Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose, and Canada Life Centre events as necessary.
• Keep a pulse on industry trends that drive revenue and customer satisfaction while actively seek to generate new business through creative and innovative programming/initiatives.
• Ensure all lead and prospect information is captured in the CRM system and maintain accurate customer and prospective customer records in our database.
• Manage game/event execution of the sales team to ensure responsibilities are executed including targeted number of touchpoints with customers, leveraging data, analytics, and CRM platforms.
• Work with all internal and external departments to ensure the highest level of guest experience is provided to all customers.
• Oversee the appropriate on-boarding and development of the Membership Sales team.
• Undertake other duties as required that are consistent with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

What we need from you:
• Minimum of 3 years of previous successful experience in a sales role. Must have experience in leading a team.
• Post Secondary education (Business Administration, B. Comm), or related field.
• Results-driven with the ability to set goals and deliver on priorities.
• Exemplified passion for sports and entertainment, with a competitive nature.
• Superior attention to detail and excellent personal organization.
• A capable multitasker with the ability effectively to manage competing demands towards the successful and timely completion of projects.
• Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• A fundamental understanding of database processes.
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and judgment to aid in management of relationships with various clients, supplier, peers, and supervisors as required in this role.
• Experience with Ticketing systems and/or a CRM software is an asset.
• Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to the ability to have a strong phone presence.
• Must be flexible with working evenings, weekends, and holidays on an as needed basis.
