Overview
GREAT NEWS!!! This pilot program includes everything you will need to succeed in your new career as a Truck & Transport Mechanic! A mix of annual classroom time and practical training provides the foundation required for a long career with the City. A few skills you should have to participate in this program:
• You’re a fun and friendly person with loads of energy, who values teamwork and takes absolute pride in everything you do. Communication skills are key – you’re able to easily and clearly converse in English, both verbally & in writing.
• You’ve got attitude – the right kind of course – and understand the need to be on time, all the time. You’re eager to learn new concepts and are up for travelling to Winnipeg for the necessary classroom training.
• You’re willing to enter into an agreement with the City, promising to complete all levels of required training and adhering to the program components.
• And you’ve completed Grade 12, G.E.D., C.A.E.C., or have a mature high school diploma, have a Class 5 driver’s license and are willing to obtain a Class 3 with air endorsement license within six (6) months of program start.
