Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and experienced individual to join our team at a busy family practice clinic. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Punctuality, professionalism, and the ability to take direction are essential for success in this role. The successful candidate will also be a team player, working collaboratively with physicians and staff to provide the best care for our patients.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive at the clinic
• Schedule and manage appointments efficiently
• Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; relay messages to the appropriate staff members
• Process payments
• Respond to patient inquiries, providing helpful and accurate information
• Maintain patient records, including updating demographics and filing/scanning/faxing documents
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are well-stocked and organized
• Manage patient flow and direct patients to exam rooms
• Measure patient height and weight
• Ensure a clean and organized reception and waiting area
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations at all times
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients in a professional and supportive manner
• Take direction from physicians and supervisor as needed and adapt to changing tasks
• Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role is preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Professional and diplomatic communication style
• Proficient in medical terminology; experience with EMR software (Accuro preferred)
• Comfortable with computer systems
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Ability to work as part of a team, taking direction and collaborating with colleagues
• Punctual and dependable, with a commitment to being on time for scheduled shifts
• Physically capable of performing office duties (e.g., standing, filing, assisting patients)
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
