Program Learning Outcomes

Students will develop advanced skills needed to meet the future needs of a technologically advanced ag sector. Graduates will be prepared to face emerging challenges and new opportunities in agribusiness, including the global agri-food industry and innovations in the value chain, in areas such as marketing and product management, corporate management, agro-food value chain development, international trade, or quality management.

Key learning outcomes are embedded across the curriculum, including analytical and critical thinking skills, communication and interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, and ethical practice in a global context.

Admissions

Admission Requirements

For students wishing to enter directly from secondary school, the program will begin with 2 years full-time in the Agribusiness Diploma, followed by the two-year full-time equivalent program, or 10 courses in the degree completion pathway. More seats are opening in the diploma program to support degree-bound students.

For agribusiness diploma holders, students can enter the third year of their degree directly. Students with other diploma or degree qualifications will be individually assessed for prior learning, transfer credit, and provided opportunity to acquire core ag competencies at the diploma level required for admission into the degree.
