Ice Facility Operator
Overview
The Ice Facility Operator Exam Preparation Course is a comprehensive 60-hour course designed for individuals pursuing certification to operate and maintain ice facility plants, including ice arenas, curling clubs, and other recreational venues requiring refrigeration systems.
Aligned with the curriculum developed by the Canadian Standardization of Power Engineer Examinations Committee (SOPEEC) and Inspection and Technical Services Manitoba (ITS), this course provides participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical insights needed to succeed in the SOPEEC Ice Facility Operator Examination.

There are no admission requirements for this program.
English is the language of instruction at Assiniboine. All applicants educated outside of Canada or in a country not on the test exempt list are expected to meet the English language proficiency requirements.

The Ice Facility Operator program includes a synchronous learning component. You will have the opportunity to meet once per week online for instructor-led discussions and Q&A.
