Do you love events, décor, and bringing people together?
The Backyard on Aberdeen & Aida’s Catering are looking for a motivated Event Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a college student who enjoys hospitality, event setup, and working in a fun, fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As an Event Supervisor, you will help manage and run events at our beautiful multi-purpose venue. You will be hands-on with décor and event setup, lead a team, and make sure guests have an amazing experience from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
Oversee venue operations during events.
Coordinate staff schedules and manage event teams.
Ensure event setup and teardown are done accurately and on time (including décor and layout).
Assist clients and guests throughout their event with professionalism and care.
Maintain a high standard of customer service.
Communicate with the kitchen and decoration departments.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the venue.
Help promote events and support bookings when needed.
Problem-solve quickly and keep events running smoothly.

Organized, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in hospitality, restaurants, or events is an asset (but not required — we will train!).
Flexibility to work late evenings, weekends, and holidays during busy seasons.
Valid driver’s license is an asset.

A student or graduate from a Hospitality Business or Business Administration program is desirable
Strong leadership and people skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Organized, reliable, and proactive attitude.
