WORK AND LIVE in the heart of Riding Mountain National Park this summer - while expanding your cooking skills in a professional, high-volume kitchen.
The Whitehouse Bakery and Restaurant, located in the townsite of Wasagaming (Clear Lake), Manitoba, is hiring seasonal full-time kitchen staff for the 2026 summer season.
We are an iconic, fast-paced, 70-seat restaurant and to-go bakery, known for our famous Cinnamon Buns, café-style breakfasts, and homestyle lunch service. Our kitchen provides an excellent environment for developing speed, consistency, organization, and confidence as you grow your culinary career.
-Ideal candidates will have completed or be currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program and be eager to learn in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
-These full-time positions run from May through September, with flexibility to accommodate school schedules and co-op programs.
-Compensation is above industry standard and negotiable, with the potential for contracted or returning seasonal positions for strong performers.
-Successful candidates will work 40 hours per week in our kitchen, gaining experience across both the hot line and pantry stations. You will have two consecutive days off per week.
-We are open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and all shifts are daytime — no late nights — leaving plenty of time to enjoy the summer, the National Park, and everything the Clear Lake area has to offer.
-Brand-new, fully furnished on-site accommodations are available just steps from work and the townsite of Wasagaming. Each suite includes a full kitchen and bathroom and is available for single or double occupancy.
