A Retail Sales Associate delivers exceptional customer service, assists with product selection, processes transactions, and maintains store appearance. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, offering product knowledge, restocking merchandise, and achieving sales targets. Qualifications
Key Responsibilities;
Customer Service: Actively welcome customers, assist with inquiries, and resolve complaints professionally.
Sales & Transactions: Process cash/card transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of products to provide recommendations and up-sell.
Merchandising & Stock: Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean.
Operations: Support inventory management (stock counts, receiving) and follow loss prevention protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Math Skills: Ability to handle transactions and count cash.
Technical Aptitude: Experience with POS systems and inventory software.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull merchandise.
Experience: Often entry-level, but previous customer service or retail experience is preferred.
Common Education/Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
