Position Conditions:
• This position normally works full-time hours (40 hours per week) and the workday may include evenings, nights, weekends and days.
• The successful candidate must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid.

Note: While most Labourer positions are seasonal in nature, usually lasting until late fall, there is the possibility of a longer assignment. General Labourer’s have the opportunity to apply for other opportunities, including permanent positions, which are only open to current City of Brandon CUPE Local 69 employees.

Rate of Pay: $17.78 - $22.74 per hour (2026 Rates)

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Are you looking for a job in the Parks Section? Summer employment in greenspace maintenance, pool & spray park maintenance, planting & maintaining flowers, or park & playground maintenance? We have a variety of seasonal opportunities available for you!

We are looking for motivated individuals with experience to be hired in the following areas:
• Horticulture, Landscaping, Greenhouse & Forestry
• Greenspace Maintenance
• Cemetery Grounds Maintenance
• Spray Parks/Pools & Playground Maintenance
• Mosquito Abatement Program

Help us hire you by providing the following information in your cover letter:
• Class of driver’s license you hold
• Hours you are available to work & when you are available to start
• Types of equipment you have experience operating if applicable
• Other transferable work experience
