The Role
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in financial analysis, reporting, and performance tracking, with secondary responsibilities supporting Accounts Receivable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into data, improving processes, and supporting financial decision-making within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Analyze financial performance, cost trends, and variances to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Develop dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools to support departmental insights.
Conduct margin analysis, product costing reviews, and profitability studies.
Support inventory valuation and cost accounting activities.
Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improved data accuracy.
Assist with customer invoicing and ensuring timely, accurate processing.
Monitor AR aging and support collection efforts as needed.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Support credit checks and account setup for new customers.
Collaborate with customer service and sales teams on billing questions and payment issues.
Updating internal spreadsheets to manage inventory, titles, warranty and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing and reporting activities.
Assist with Bank and Credit Card reconciliation
Qualifications
What You Bring
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience; manufacturing experience is an asset.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards).
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
