Come COOK with us at CAMP CANTINA!
CAMP CANTINA is a multi purpose stop - Deli service with tasty takeaway, patio & picnic fare, with our groceteria shelves stocked with unique, local provisions & supply. We turn Wine Bar & Restaurant in the evening just in time for happy hour, serving up small plates meant for sharing.
We strive to be a collaborative & creative team, focused on providing an excellent customer experience, while having a great time!
POSITION: Lead Cook (for Wine Bar/Share Plate Restaurant)
- Seasonal; Early to mid May through to mid October
HOURS:
- Spring & Fall: Approx. first & last month of the season (Thurs-Sat, possibly some Sundays) 24-32hrs/week
- Summer: mid June to early Sept (Wed-Sun) 40hrs/week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute a tight menu focused on shareable plates.
- Opportunity to create menu items
- Manage inventory, ordering & preparation
- Assist with menu costing and pricing
- Help shape the kitchen culture and elevate the staff's knowledge of the menu
Staff Accommodation Available at a very minimal cost.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Some formal or on-the-job culinary training
Able to work independently and take initiative
Creative and passionate about seasonal ingredients, layered flavors and thoughtful presentation
Team-oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment
Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
