2026 Manitoba Metis Federation Summer Student Position @ the Western Manitoba Regional Library
Title: Programming Assistant
Period: Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 28 (4 weeks)
Hours per week: 20
Wage: $16/hour
Location: Brandon Public Library, potentially traveling to rural libraries
Responsibilities:
Facilitating children's programming
Promoting our digital library
Qualifications
Must be at least 14 years old
If 15 or younger, must complete the Safe Work Manitoba Young Worker Readiness Certificate course prior to starting
Must have attended school full-time before the position, and be returning to school full-time after the position
Must have proof of Red River Metis Citizenship
A driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets, but not required
