Rockstar Recruiting is hiring an experienced Red Seal Truck & Trailer Mechanic / Journeyperson to join the growing maintenance operation for a heavy-duty truck & trailer Repair Shop in Virden, Manitoba.
We are looking for qualified mechanics to diagnose, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, oilfield equipment, and agricultural machinery.
Qualifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform the full scope of Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic duties.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, and inspections to ensure fleet reliability and safety..
Maintain medium- and large-sized oilfield trucks, semi-trucks, and specialized tanker units.
Work on tandem tank trucks, tri-axle and tri-drive tank trucks, pressure trucks, fresh-water tankers, winch trucks, and bed trucks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and engine-related issues to minimize downtime.
Service one-ton trucks and larger vehicles, trailers, and agricultural equipment.
Perform provincial safety inspections in accordance with applicable requirements.
Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Red Seal Truck & Transport Mechanic certification or recognized journeyperson qualification
Level 3 apprentices are welcome to apply!
Minimum 3–5 years of truck and trailer repair experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
Experience performing safety inspections.
Own toolbox and standard mechanic's tools, with the ability to provide specialty tools as required.
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.
Valid driver's license.
