Overview
IT SERVICE DESK (Student Position) Term Position: April 2020 – August 28, 2020 Flexible: Brandon or Portage la Prairie Competition Number: 2019-20-28 CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Must possess a valid driver’s licence and have the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba. TYPICAL DUTIES: Assist the Information Technology department with various tasks including fielding incoming requests to support the Service Desk team. Duties may include updating documentation, remote support, imaging, and asset tracking. The successful applicant must be available to work for the duration of the term and must be enrolled in a post-secondary program, returning to school in the fall.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in a university or college program with a Business, Computer Science or Engineering specialization Experience learning new software applications Experience providing customer service Experience using Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, Outlook) Highly motivated with the ability to work independently Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to adapt to a changing work environment Excellent written communication skills Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment Ability to continuously improve and develop knowledge and skills Completion of one or more courses in Microsoft Flow or PowerBI report writing is an asset This position has a salary range of $16.84 per hour to $18.65 per hour (under review), depending on education and experience.
