Social Media Strategist

WEST-CAN HUMAN RESOURCE SOLUTIONS IS CURRENTLY SEEKING AN SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST FOR ABERHART AG SOLUTIONS BASED OUT OF BRANDON, MANITOBA.

The Social Media Strategist at Aberhart Ag Solutions will have the opportunity to work closely with the owner, our stakeholders/clients, and other marketing partners to carry out exciting marketing, social media, and promotional campaigns. This individual will also act as an administrative support to the Aberhart Ag Solutions team. We are seeking someone who is energetic, full of new ideas, and is ready to get involved in the future direction of agriculture! This is a full-time position and the regular work hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Position Responsibilities
Monitor and track impact, views, impressions, and interactions on social media.
Come up with content ideas to drive increased social media and marketing success.
Create logos, graphics, and other marketing materials.
Schedule and organize timelines for social media and marketing content.
Take photographs and videos for promotional content, ensure the material is of the best quality, provide editing of video content and photographs.
Manage and maintain all social media platforms and websites.
Create blog posts, marketing content, and content for Mailchimp.
Collaborate with 3rd party team members to come up with content and execute ideas.
Attend and assist with trade shows, prepping materials, booth designs, and overall planning.
Assist with creating content for webinars and podcasts, plus participate in webinars.
Respond to and direct inquiries from website and social media accounts.
Attend and contribute to a variety of team meetings.
Answer and redirect client calls and emails.
Maintain company records and filing systems.
Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Qualifications
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Interactive Media Arts or Digital Marketing and Social Media or a equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in and knowledge of the agricultural industry is required.
Must be creative and have experience creating social media and marketing content in a business setting and creating a social media content schedule/timeline.
Must have experience utilizing a variety of social media platforms as a business tool.
Previous experience in an administrative position or a position with administrative components is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, photo and video editing software and must have intermediate to advanced computer skills with the ability to learn new software programs and applications.
Experience using MailChimp, Hub Spot, GSuites, Trello and T-Sheets is an asset.
