Construction Electrician

Description:
Smart Electric is currently seeking to hire Journeyman Construction Electricians to work in and around Carberry & Surrounding areas. Smart Electric is a growing company which has several years of experience specializing in the Agricultural, Commercial & Industrial industry. You will be required to provide technical support in the implementation of project and management plans to ensure that the project deadlines are met on time. The Journeyman Electrician position will be required to lay out, assemble, install test and repair electrical wiring and conduit systems, fixtures, devices, distribution & processing equipment.

Responsibilities:
• Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starts, MCC’s & motors)
• Microprocessor based system (PLC’s, Electronic circuit, controls)
• Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation & parts preparation)
• Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs.
• Maintain & repair low and medium voltage distribution systems (single & three phase)
• Power distribution and generation (generators, transformers, switchgears & breakers)
• HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, energy control & alarm)
• Understand and adhere to all Health & Safety Policies.
Successful candidate should posses the following qualifications:
• Red Seal Trades Certification required as well as strong electrical, automation experience.
• Strong decision making, problem solving, troubleshooting and multi tasking skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines.
• Available for overtime as job demands require.

Required license:
• Valid Class 5 drivers license
• Class 3 drivers license (or willing to take training)
