Overview

Job Summary:

Weld components for tractor build and meet the production schedule.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Read and interpret drawings or welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
• Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gas and arc welding machines to weld production parts.
• Must be able to set own weld machine.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience or training required
• Experience with robotics is an asset
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Good M.I.G,. welding skills
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to follow all safety regulations.
• Capable of using measuring instruments, gauges, etc. to check components
• Will need to pass a weld test.
