This June, we honour National Indigenous History Month by acknowledging history and current events, while recognizing the heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples in Canada.
Assiniboine Community College campuses are located on the traditional territories of Treaty No. 1 and Treaty No. 2, and the shared traditional lands of Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene and Anishinabek/Ojibwe peoples, and the homeland of the Métis nation.
Throughout the month of June we encourage our college community to actively utilize the below college resources to learn more about Indigenous history.
National Film Board
Assiniboine students and staff have free access to an incredible range of films, documentaries and animations through the National Film Board of Canada's streaming service Indigenous Cinema page, a collection of free-to-stream titles by Indigenous creators, simply login with you college email address and password.
Library Resources
