Salary: $58,764 to $87,303 annual ($31.07 to $46.16 hourly)

(Educational Supplement: Master’s degree $2,725 per annum; PhD $5,450 per annum)

Assiniboine’s Geographic Information Systems Advanced Diploma program combines GIS technologies and how to solve real-world problems for an in-depth education that can be applied in any number of industries. We provide students with hands-on learning through labs, field trips and lectures, and a dynamic, student-focused atmosphere of small classes and experienced faculty.

We are looking for a passionate instructor who is outstanding in their field, who can teach the courses GIS Analysis and Cartography. You will be a professional ready to contribute to producing quality programs that are responsive to Manitoba’s labour market.

You will deliver highly interactive, hands-on classes where student success is the goal. You will be an engaging and forward-thinking instructor, who embraces our “learn by doing” philosophy while providing leadership and mentorship to students.

Deliver Results.

To deliver results, you will have post-secondary education in Geographic Information Systems or a closely related discipline. Professional GIS industry related experience and background in geospatial concepts & data management is preferred and experience with ESRI-ArcMap software. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary faculty in horticulture, sustainable foods, environmental technologies, civil technology and communication engineering technology, as well as with other stakeholders in the community and the province. Post-secondary teaching experience including curriculum development is an asset.
