Southport is looking to grow its dedicated team with the addition of a full-time Specialist, Communications, reporting to the Director, Business Development.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the Director, Business Development and support the Southport team with marketing initiatives
• Manage digital presence, including updating company websites, corporate app, and creative content for multiple social media channels
• Maintain and update branded content including promotional materials, internal documentation and signage
• Creation and coordination of the advertising plans for all Southport business units
• Plan and execute public relations, and customer appreciation events
• Develop monthly communication reports
• Oversee and implement the Communications Plan
• Manage internal communication channels
• Oversee and implement the Customer Service Plan
• Investigate new trends, and methods of communication

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
• Be creative, innovative and adaptable
• Have strong organizational skills
• Have a sound understanding of marketing principles
• Have the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences
• Be computer proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Manage a variety of projects and timelines
• Valid driver’s licence

Education and Experience:
• Degree or Diploma in marketing or communications
• Preferably 2-years’ experience in a marketing position
