LIFE's Journey Inc . is currently hiring for various SUPPORT MENTOR POSITIONS

Life's Journey Inc. is an agency providing disability services in multiple rural and urban locations within the province of Manitoba.

We offer Residential, Outreach, and Fostering programs with adjunct services including Cultural supports, Clinical resources, addictions and wellness programming opportunities. We work from a participant centred, strengths-based approach focusing on wellbeing and quality of life.

We are now accepting resumes to fill various positions in our Residential and Outreach programs for our Brandon Office.

Residential Support Mentors work with our participants within this program directly in the residence and are responsible for the ongoing direct support; ensuring all program requirements are consistently being met. This includes participating in the ongoing planning, monitoring and communication of activities of the program participants that are in relation to each participant?s program planning documents.

House Lead is responsible for maintaining a safe home environment while providing ongoing direct support of the participants of the Residential Program; ensuring all program requirements are consistently being met. This includes participating in the ongoing planning, monitoring and communication of activities of the program participants that are in relation to each participant?s program planning documents. The House Lead is expected to follow the Personnel Policies, including Workplace Health and Safety Policies, the Operational Practices and the goals of Life?s Journey Inc. in completing their duties. The House Lead provides training, mentorship, support and resources for Residential Support Mentors.

Ideal working availability for applicants:

Monday - Sunday:

7am to 3pm or 4pm to 12am (Days)
3pm to 11pm or 4pm to 12am (Evenings)
11pm to 7am or 12am to 8am (Overnights)

Successful Applicants will have or be able to obtain the following to be considered for employment:

Criminal Record Check, within the vulnerable persons sector within the last 3 months
Child and Adult Abuse Registry checks, completed within the last 3 months
Possess a 5F Driver's license
Current Driver's Abstract
Valid First Aid CPR Certificate

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals living with severe Mental Health
• Previously experience working with individuals who engage in substance use
• At least two years’ experience in a related role
• High School Diploma or GED required
• An understanding of Manitoba Licensing Legislation and Regulations
