Accounting Technician
Overview
The Accounting Technician diploma program will help you develop proficiency as an entry-level accounting professional with courses covering accounting fundamentals, key business skills, and popular computerized accounting software. Learners will gain technical accounting skills and how learn how to prepare financial statements, budgets, tax-returns, payroll and financial records using modern accounting software including Quickbooks and Sage50.
Topics covered will include manual bookkeeping and accounting processes, financial statements, budget and financial record preparation as well as development of written and oral business communication skills. You will also gain essential administrative and support skills to ensure the smooth operation of any office.

Admission Requirements
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
- Consumer/Essential Mathematics 40S or equivalent
English is the language of instruction at Assiniboine. All applicants educated outside of Canada or in a country not on the test exempt list are expected to meet the English language proficiency requirements.
