Commercial Manure Applicator
Overview
This program prepares students to write the examinations required for licensing as Commercial Manure Applicator. Licensing is through Manitoba Agriculture and Manitoba Environment, Climate and Parks under the Manure Amendment to the Pesticides and Fertilizers Control Act.
Manitoba Agriculture and Manitoba Environment, Climate and Parks and Assiniboine Community College and industry partners have the created this program, which includes a training manual, online video presentations and open book exam.
The online video presentations are recorded and not live, so there is no set class time, the program is self-directed.

While there are no particular requirements to enrol for certification, you should keep in mind that courses are designed for people who have a Grade 12 literacy and numeracy level.

Tools & Supplies
Distance-delivered courses make use of several delivery methods. This course includes a combination of an at-home study manual, online lessons and exam. Course material is delivered online using a learning platform called Moodle. A computer with audio (webcam) and video will be required.
At-Home Computing
For this program, you are expected to have access to a computer at home. It should have a webcam, microphone and internet access to enable remote learning for the theory portions of your programs.
