Agronomy Summer Students (Melita, MB) – Summer 2022

Overview

We are currently looking for motivated, hands-on Students to join our Agronomy team in Melita, MB. Working directly with the location Agronomist, you will provide the support required to ensure our customers receive high quality, customized agronomic service. This is an excellent opportunity to gain sound knowledge of local crop production, learn our product portfolio and receive valuable face time with local growers and agronomy professionals.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain and deliver a high standard of professional customer service;
• Provide expert agronomic knowledge, skills and advice to customers and other members of our Crop Inputs team;
• Independently conduct field scouting activities entering data into record keeping software;
• Establish and maintain demonstration plots and assist in conducting customer tours;
• Work in a safe and conscientious manor, following all safety precautions;
• Learn & assist grain operations as required (if applicable) and other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Plant Science, Soils Science, Ag Business or Agronomy or related discipline;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Organized and self-motivated;
• Farming/agricultural background would be considered an asset;
• Valid Class 5 license.
