Assistant Curator-Tour Guide
Overview
This is a full time summer employment position - 40 hour week from the beginning of May until August 31, 2021
Assist curator with collection care and restoration, catalogue artifacts, update computer data base and inventory, create or change displays, create posters and advertising in all media forms, public relations and promote tourism, open and close museum per security system requirements, write newspaper articles, do family research, assist Board in maintain the building and grounds, create display at weekly Farmers Market and always be a team member.
Qualifications
Have an interest in the following fields: History, Museum and Archives, English and Journalism, Public Relations and Business Management, Education and Business Administration, Computer and Data Base Programming, Tourism Promotion and other fields relating to the preservation of history and culture.
Open to University, Community College, or all full time students or non students between 15 and 30 years of age wo meet any funding requirements we have for this position
