Automation Specialist
Overview
Reporting to the Director of Utilities, the Automation Specialist is responsible for maintaining the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system for both water and wastewater processes, and for ensuring automation and control of the facilities is reliable to operations at all times.
Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
• Certificate in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology or equivalent;
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in an industrial automation role;
• Must possess a valid and subsisting Class 5, Province of Manitoba driver’s licence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a Water or Wastewater Treatment Facility an asset;
• Ten (10) years’ responsible experience in industrial process environment or similar operations.
