Boiler Operator - Level 4
Overview
To participate as part of a working team that inspects, maintains and repairs the steam and hot water boilers in City facilities and operates and maintains portable steam boilers to thaw water and sewer services.
Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
• Must possess a valid and subsisting Class 3 with Air Endorsement Province of Manitoba driver’s license;
• Must possess a Class 3 Water Distribution and Waste Collection Certification;
• Must possess a valid Fourth Class Power Engineer’s Certificate as issued under the Power Engineer’s Act;
• Any other certification as required by provincial legislation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience operating steam and hot water boilers;
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in underground water and wastewater utilities;
