HyLife Major Projects Division is responsible for project development, design and construction, acting as its own General Contractor. HyLife is currently in the midst of an aggressive build-up of capital assets and structures. Our growing company is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in the role of Construction Labourer, reporting to the Site Superintendent. This opportunity is located in the community of Southern Manitoba.
Your days will include:
Carpentry, drywall insulation, painting, and other construction activities
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
Support equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labour
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site
Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately
Load and unload building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications
Travel out of town to work on remote job sites
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you possess:
Experience working in industrial, processing or agricultural settings would be an asset, but not required
Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trades functions and familiar with various tools and equipment
Ability to coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining positive attitude and flexible work style
Punctual, reliable, with an excellent work ethic
Proficient with reading and understanding instructions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
