Early Childhood Educator (II) Infant Program
Overview
Pacific Junction Daycare Incorporated (est. 1987), located in the heart of Charleswood, is looking to hire a Full Time ECE II for our Infant Program. We are a friendly, small, close-knit centre with a great community of caring staff, families and friends. We have a four-space infant program and a 32-space preschool program.
Position: Early Childhood Educator (II) Infant Program – Full Time POSITION 40hrs/week
In this role, you will provide nurturing care and learning opportunities to the children in our infant room program. Candidates should be familiar with emergent curriculum and subscribe to a play-based approach. We are looking for an individual that is positive, has lots of energy and creativity. You will participate in telling stories, teaching songs, preparing activities and providing opportunities for creative expression.
Duties: We have a four-space infant room with one primary caregiver. Our infant room requires an individual who is able to work mostly independently as well as a part of the team. This role requires duties such as preparing snacks, outdoor play, changing diapers, getting the infants down for naps, assisting with feeding, documenting the infant’s day through daily communication that is shared with their parents, art activities and implementing activities for our infants. Our centres collective goal is to meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of every child.

Qualifications
Your cover letter and resume must clearly indicate how you meet the qualifications outlined.
• be qualified as an ECE II in Manitoba with a current Manitoba ECE ll Certificate.
*have experience in a licensed infant child care setting .
• produce satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check with in the last three months.
• have valid certification in Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR.
• have knowledge of ELCC regulations
• be nurturing and have positive behaviour management skills
• be able to plan and implement a fun, child-inspired program
• have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to effectively work with children, families, community and peers
• be confident, willing to work as a team and have a positive attitude
• must provide proof of vaccination status or medical exemption
