Clean Water Pro is an environmental water remediation company. We assess bodies of water and recommend environmentally friendly solutions using the data collected. We sell, install, and maintain fine bubble aeration systems designed to pump dissolved oxygen into stagnating water. Other services include bacterial treatments, pond dyes, and vegetative management solutions (in the water and on the shore).

Job Description
The position of ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD TECHNICIAN is critically important, as the successful candidate will be in direct control of water assessments & remediation, equipment maintenance, and installation delivered by our company. You will also be a member of our safety committee. The incumbent must be 100% dedicated to providing the very best in customer care and attention to detail.
To analyze bodies of water, install systems, apply remediation treatments and maintain systems. Operate equipment including lab testing equipment, ID Algae, ID invertebrates, and ID aquatic weeds. The candidate must be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates must be willing to learn about water and share their personal knowledge about water. Record keeping and report writing are a must. Ability and desire to work and learn about nutrients, aquatic species and analyze the surroundings.
You will report to the President and operations manager. You will work as a team and work independently at times. And you will, for sure, be expected to bring new ideas to the table.
Job Specifications- Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities (TDR’s)
• Comply with all safety regulations and report any hazards to the proper authority
• Assessing bodies of water- samples, examining aquatic weeds, invertebrates, algae and ecosystems
• Boat operation in small ponds and in lakes
• Installing aeration and other technologies
• Maintaining systems and applying environmentally friendly treatments
• Report writing and record-keeping
• Data analysis
• General duties – organizing stock and tools
• Run Laboratory tests on occasion
• Performing any other tasks required by Manager
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs

Responsibilities
40% - Maintaining systems and applying environmentally friendly treatments
30% - Assessing bodies of water- samples, examining aquatic weeds and ecosystem
10% - Installing aeration and other technologies
5% - Report writing and record keeping. General duties – organizing stock and tools

Qualifications

• Naturally friendly communicator with the ability to speak with stakeholders
• An ability to produce meaningful concise reports and record accurate data
• Along with a strong working knowledge of customer care, you must have a personal desire to set and achieve personal and team goals.
• Enthusiasm and the ability to dedicate a high level of energy to job-related duties are required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication (writing, editing, formatting) in the English language
• Must have a high degree of computer literacy in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, QuickBooks and PowerPoint)
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Must be alert and resourceful and be able to interact with a cross-section of individuals
• Must be able to demonstrate patience and perseverance, and embrace change when it occurs
• Must have Valid drivers license

Credentials and Experience
• A degree/diploma (or working towards one) in Enviro Sciences, Science, Biology, Agriculture or Engineering
• First aid/CPR training preferred
• Boat operators license preferred
• Clean driving record
• Experience in a field role would be an asset
• Assessment knowledge an asset
• Understanding of water testing equipment an asset
• Farm background an asset
• Algae identification an asset
