Overview
Good Lands Environmental Inc. is a vibrant, and progressive environmental consulting company based out of Pierson, Manitoba. Good Lands services oil and gas clients in both southeast Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba. Good Lands is looking for a full time GIS Specialist. This person must be self-motivated, possess a willingness to learn and enjoy working in a team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work remotely but must be available and willing to travel to our Pierson office from time to time. Job Description: The successful candidate will utilize a significant volume of previously collected spatial data, organize the data into usable format and create a database which can be accessed by team members in the field. The candidate will also utilize the data to prepare figures for submission with regulatory reports, process collected data and develop in-house database management protocols.
Qualifications
Recognized post secondary education specific to GIS management OR 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar position. Knowledge of database development and integration will be considered an asset. Applicants with previous knowledge of environmental principles, oil and gas or agricultural operations are encouraged to apply.
