Our growing company is searching for top talent to join our team in the role of Health & Safety Student for May – August 2021, reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. This opportunity is located in the community of Neepawa.
Your days will include:
• Job Shadowing Safety team
• Contributing and leading projects
• Responsible for data collection, data entry and reporting for various Health and Safety programs
• Support the Health & Safety Manager with monitoring Safety activities
• Assist in health and safety employee orientation
• Running reports and analyzing data
• Track and monitor controlled product Safety Data Sheets, compile monthly reports
• Review exposure risks in Safety Data Sheets and recommend control methods to be implemented into safe work procedures
• Develop monthly communications videos and presentations
• Monitor and update training logs and certificates
• Compile and analyze training data from reports and prepare training reports
• Participate in meetings and track relevant meeting information
• Develop and facilitate new job hazard analysis and safe work procedures
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you:
• Are attending University or College for Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or Applied Disaster
• Health & Safety experience, an asset
• Are eager to learn
• Are willing to contribute and be a part of the team
