Maxim is currently seeking an AUTOMOTIVE/ HEAVY DUTY TECHNICIAN for our Brandon location. The successful candidate will be able to work on both automotive and heavy duty vehicles. This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team of service professionals to diagnose, repair and carry out maintenance on gasoline and diesel engines and other transportation equipment. Qualifications
Qualifications: • Red Seal Automotive Journeyperson with Truck Transport, Agriculture or heavy duty certification • Equivalent working experience in the automotive and heavy duty trade will also be considered • Experience with Navistar, Duramax, Cummins, Eaton and Allison a strong asset • Valid Class 3 or Class 1 with Air Driver's License an asset • Team player with strong commitment to the customer • Demonstrated problem-solving skills • Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs • Can lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks • Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tools
