You will be responsible for advising our clients on their personal lines insurance needs, including house, tenant, condo and Autopac. The Opportunity:
The Insurance Advisor is an integral part of a team and will be the first point of contact for clients.

As a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Calculating and quoting of premium rates for recommended policies both within a computer software and by hand using a calculator
Answering calls from policy holders and explaining policy information, suggesting additions or changes in insurance options
Collecting of premiums from policy holders and keeping records of payment
Anticipating future needs, and renewing and upgrading of current insurance policies
Developing long-term relationships with clients
Writing memos to clients and documenting files regarding pertinent details
Developing professional relationships with insurance company representatives
All other duties as assigned

Here’s what you bring:
Previous experience as an insurance advisor / broker is an asset
Insurance Broker level 1 license is an asset but not necessary
A natural ability to build authentic client relationships and functioning as part of a team
High level of motivation, excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and willingness to learn our broker management system
Criminal background check will be required for successful applicants for the purpose of insurance licensing
