Landscape Maintenance Foreman- Golf & Grounds

Overview

Brandt is currently seeking a Landscape Maintenance Foreman with thorough knowledge and experience leading landscaping projects in Regina, SK. This position is a full-time, permanent position and will be responsible for residential and commercial landscaping projects and maintenance that exhibits quality workmanship, accuracy and business-minded efficiency.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the training and supervision of all maintenance staff on site to ensure quality of work is achieved and proper procedures are followed, such as operating machinery in a safe manner
• Help direct all activities on site, including coordinating grounds keeping activities and communicating production goals to crew members on a daily basis, while working alongside the crew
• Maintain the property at the highest quality of standards to ensure healthy growth of all vegetation on site (grass, trees, wetlands, shrubbery, etc.)
• Oversee the care and maintenance of golf greens, fairways, and roughs
• Meet project schedule deadlines without losing quality workmanship
• Responsible for seasonal start-up and shutdown of site grounds
• Apply fertilizer and pesticide applications as necessary
• Provide irrigation maintenance and repair as required
• Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for maintenance as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:
• 3+ years’ experience in landscape maintenance and/or golf course maintenance management
• Diploma or certificate from a recognized turf management program would be an asset
• Experience in landscape and/or golf course construction maintenance
• Mechanical knowledge of turf grass equipment
• Knowledge of fertilizer and pesticide applications as well as a valid spray license
• Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in landscape/golf course construction and maintenance
• Train and mentor all crew members on site including the use of power tools and equipment safely and properly
• Highly motivated hard working individual with strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work a Tuesday – Saturday shift in all weather conditions and capable of performing physically demanding work
• Ability to be on-call outside of scheduled working hours
