Alternative Landscaping is seeking a Landscaping Install Manager. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, communication and leadership skills, and have a keen attention to detail. He/she will exhibit strong Math and budgeting skills, accompanied by experience with delegating and leading a team. This individual will be very goal and numbers oriented and can set and achieve departmental goals, according to the overall company plan. Superior organization, process and data driven qualities are critical to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within time and budget parameters. The successful candidate will submit progress reports reflecting project efficiency, while meeting quality and safety standards.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Landscaping Install Manager is responsible for overseeing all landscaping crew members while performing a variety of work tasks to complete all landscaping service contracts. They are required to ensure all crew members are operating safety and efficiently. They are responsible for communication between the employees and the company; participating in the hiring and retention of quality staff; ensuring company values, current standards, safety regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Residential or Commercial construction / landscaping industry, with at least 3 years in a progressive leadership / management role
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Ability to take and follow direction and act on tasks required in an efficient manner
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge and focus on safety
• Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Demonstrated proficiency in professional communication, including written, oral and listening skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and address personnel issues respectfully understanding and living Alternative Landscaping’s Core Values are Trust, Integrity, Quality, Respect, Caring and Accountability
• Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract (Class 3 with Air preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various construction practices
• Speak, read, and write English
• Carries a Smart cellular phone
Work Conditions:
• Ability to work with equipment, hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
• Ability to work in all kinds of winter and summer weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Requires good manual dexterity
• Excellent stamina is required
• Work near equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
