PHX Equipment Ltd. is a Manitoba owned and operated company looking for an experienced Service Technician with the opportunity for advancement to Service Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Testing, diagnosing, repair, maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts and other material handling equipment
Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for the customers. Company Van provided for working hours
Preventative maintenance
Performs inspections and analyzes findings to determine the source of the problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers
Complete work orders
Experience repairing and diagnosing gasoline, diesel, and propane engines,
Recondition and remanufacture components as required for equipment, engine, and hydraulic repairs.
Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices
Always maintain a professional company image
Maintain tools and area of work in an organized fashion
Successful applicant will be required to have a valid Driver’s license and provide a drivers abstract
Provides oversight and training for new/junior technicians, as directed
Dedicated to innovation and teamwork
Shift: 40 hours/week Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30 pm
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and skill-level

Qualifications
Knowledge:
Proficient written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work with customers, exceptional customer service; demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Electrical and hydraulic experience is considered an asset
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions customers may have
Preference will be given to applicants with Red Seal Certification in Heavy Duty or Automotive mechanics
Minimum two (2) years mechanical experience
