Casual Onsite Worker
S.A.I.L. is inviting applications for CASUAL Onsite Workers:
Position: - Casual Onsite Worker – Available shifts include:
• Saturdays, Sundays, holiday days (8 to 4)
• Miscellaneous evenings (4 to 12; 6 to10)
• Overnights (12 to 8)
Summary: On Site Workers provide support and supervision of clients residing in the SAIL apartments. On Site Workers are also responsible for the security of the apartment buildings, vehicles, and grounds.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Provides support and supervision of clients residing in apartment buildings
• Responsible for the security of the apartment buildings, vehicles, and grounds
• Daily case notes on each client, incident reports and other required documentation
• Provides information to Support Workers and Case Managers
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned
• Reviews and documents video footage and reports and observed concerns
• Arranges for bulk waste removal with 311
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
• Minimum Gr.12, (Post-secondary education preferred)
• Experience working in an independent living program is an asset
• Strong interest in working with high needs, at-risk youth
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working with clients with behavioral and emotional difficulties
• Valid in First Aid/CPR
• Valid Non-violent Crisis Intervention
