Operations Management Internship:
As an Operations Management Intern, you will gain exposure to the workflow of plant and/or distribution operations. You will be given a project to improve a facet of the current operation, have the opportunity to use the skills you have gained in the classroom to a real life setting, and have the ability to tackle additional projects that interest you. Additionally, Interns will be exposed to a number of areas to learn skills and gain knowledge vital to succeed in an operations leadership role, including but not limited to:
• Operations
• Environmental, Health & Safety Leadership
• Engineering/Maintenance
• Accounting
• Continuous Improvement
• Human Resources/Talent Management/Employee Relations
• And much more based on your areas of interest!
Environment:
Learn about the business through performing critical tasks executed within the production environment that will involve physical activity in our food, and/or grain processing facilities. This generally requires a moderate amount of physical exertion on a fairly regular basis. The work may also involve other conditions or exposures (i.e. heat, cold, grain dust, etc.). Depending on the business, this role will require occasional shifts including 2nd and 3rd shift hours.

Internship Programming:
We offer both housing assistance and relocation reimbursement to interns who qualify (based on mileage).
Internships are paid and are normally 16 weeks in duration.
Day–to-day transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the intern.
Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered a full-time position or a second internship the following year!

Required Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in any field and graduating between December 2021 and May 2023.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and weekends should the occasional need arise
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
• Able to work with individuals from a diverse group of backgrounds and cultures
• Able to complete a 16-week internship May - August 2022
• Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing an agriculture or business-related degree; Animal Science, Ag-Economics, Ag-Business, Ag-Education, Agronomy, Food Science, Feed Science, Meat Science, Grain Science, Operations Management, Ag-Systems Management, Ag-Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanized Systems Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution).
